Sadly, Chevy died from the effects of gastric torsion.  He survived 8 days in an intensive care unit and two surgeries.  He fought valiantly, but the damage was just too severe.  On July 20, 2006 at the age of 4 1/2, I held him and said goodbye as one of his surgeons ended his suffering.
